Congress in Session

The 115th Congress begins tomorrow and if you’re similar to me you are watchful. In the first place, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Medicare are on the table. If you are launching a startup now is the time to begin listening on Twitter. Will the ACA will be there for you. Or are you going to swap marketing dollars for a health care plan? If you have parents over age 65 you want to listen in too. As an adult child, you will most likely help an aging parent in some way. Much of your time may be spent navigating health care during your workday.

It’s Twittertime

Twitter is a fast moving social media platform. You can follow breaking news in bite size tweets. Setting up a Twitter account takes a few minutes and only requires an email account. The odds are you will spend more time selecting a username or handle for your account. The important thing is that once you sign up you have access to streamlined news. Use Twitter to stay in the know and when necessary raise your voice. In 140 characters you can also share your views. One caveat, the information is bite size. Life is complex so are politics and policy. Join Twitter to follow news and then do your homework. Remember to understand both sides of any issues.
