How To Launch A Book
After writing my book I reflected on the lessons learned and realized it might have been helpful to share the process with other entrepreneurs. As I launch my book I’ll do my best to document this next part of an author’s journey.
Why I’m Launching An eBook First
I have decided to split launch my book and divide the process in two launches and ebook and paperback. My strategy is to connect with the influencers of my avatar, their children and grandchildren. You see my experience tells me holidays are the time of year families gather. It is during these long weekends adult children begin to stop and see the process of aging in their parents. I know, I did too. It was so subtle and I remember a sense of shock and a sense of urgency to stop time. I was not able to stop time, I was able to start important conversations. By launching the book July 1 – 7 my goal is to bring awareness during the pre holiday and leverage the theme of freedom to my avatars influencers.
Take Away: Look for events and holidays to leverage your book.
Look For Serendipity
In addition, to leveraging a holiday that focuses on independence, I have also been asked to speak at the San Diego County Aging Summit 2016: Age Well San Diego. Yes, serendipity creating additional momentum for the book. This speaking engagement positions me as an expert in senior transportation in front of my avatar and colleagues. Wow!
Take Away: Use your networks to establish your authority.
